Seared Tuna Steak with viniagrette dressing for one person
1 Fresh Tuna steak
Sea salt pepper
2 tbspns olive oil for cooking
For the vinaigrette
1 tomato, finely diced
juice of half a lemon
1/4 leek, finely chopped
2 or 3 mushrooms, finely chopped or sliced (whatever is your preference)
4tbspn olive oil
1tspn dijon mustard
Sea salt and pepper
Method
Gently soften the leeks in one tablespoon of olive oil for a few minutes
Put them in a bowl and add the tomato, lemon juice, mushrooms, mustard, salt, pepper and the remainder of the oil (3tbspns)
Stir through to mix and coat all the ingredients
Season the tuna steak with salt and pepper, both sides, and sear in a hot pan on both sides until cooked through
Serve with the vinaigrette dressing on top of the tuna steak.
A Green salad, and some asparagus spears goes really well with this dish.
